Lazy Days

It has been nearly 48 hours since I have left the house.
In fact, I have yet to leave the house in 2010.
And believe it or not, I’m ok with it.

Scott and I have been enjoying a couple of lazy days to start off the new year – waking up around 11am, getting dressed around 2pm, and spending the days just doing whatever the heck we want.  It has been glorious.

Mario Kart Wii
Transformers 2

Cleaning
Reading (and getting a head start on Winter Quarter!)
Budgeting
…just being.

We’ve actually been surprisingly productive for not leaving the house, and it feels good to have a relaxing start to the year.  With classes starting again on Monday, a number of youth events fast approaching, and lots of other pending chaos, it feels nice to spend a few days just enjoying being lazy and not doing anything.

It’s amazing what three straight days of absolutely nothing on the Google Calendar can do for the soul.

I’m a pretty happy camper right now.

P.S. Happy Palindrome Day! (For the first time since 10-02-2001, today’s date is a palindrome: 01-02-2010.)

  1. I know exactly how you feel. It feels AWESOME to be “off-grid” and doing stuff around the house and just hanging out. I’ve read, watched movies, cleaned, organized, day-dreamed, taken naps, laughed, played games with the family, and just relaxed!
